Description
Steph: I'm a BLUE BANDED BEE! it comes with the name!
SHE IS SOO CUTE PISSED OFF
There are Yellow, all black, all red, Orange, Green and blue Bees!
SCIENCE LESSON!
Steph here is a Blue Banded Bee!
The males have five complete bands and females have four, (her fourth is up higher) and the species gets its name from the latin word “cingulum”, meaning belt, and refers to the bee's bright abdominal bands. Why are they blue? to tell the truth, no clue! It's just how her breed is. the blue can either be darker blue, royal blue, neon blue or a whiteish blue!
Steph get's mad about that sort of thing. There are many types of bee! not all make honey, not all pollinate flowers! blue banded bees are an Australian native species, that specializes in pollinating crops more than they do flowers.
The blue carpenter bee is completely blue and will lay their eggs with a female Blue banded bee so she cares for those and her own.
Blue Banded Bees do not have Hive or colonies, meaning no queen! Females will live together to raise their young with more eyes.
